As the name suggests, Swiss darning or Duplicate Stitch is a darning method for reinforcing worn areas of knitwear.
But it is also used to decorate knitwear because it is much simpler than intarsia or jacquard.

To do this, you will need to use wool of the same thickness as the one used for the project, neither thinner nor thicker.
Feel free to mark the stitches you are going to darn with a washable marker if that is easier for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1<\/strong> : cut a thread about 50 cm long and thread it onto a tapestry needle
Step 2<\/strong> : insert the needle from the back of the knitting at the bottom of the stitch you want to darn
Step 3<\/strong> : insert the needle at the top of the V of the stitch from right to left to form the first bar of the V
Step 4<\/strong> : insert the needle at the tip of the V to finish the stitch<\/p>\n\n\n\n
