Yarn

You need a worsted or bulky yarn to knit this bag.

I used for my sample DMC Nova Vita 4 (100% recycled cotton) 200 m / 250 g (2 balls).

Gauge

18 sts / 20 rows in chevron st per 10 cm/4” flat after blocking

  • 100 cm (40’’) 5 mm (US8) circ needle
  • 4 Stitch Markers
  • Go Handmade Strap Handles – 44 cm
  • Go Handmade 4 Rivet Straps (8.5 x 1.8 cm)
  • Prym 3 magnetic sew on buttons 19 mm

Construction

This bag is knitted starting at the bottom of the bag. You will then pick up the stitches along the edges so you can knit bottom up in the round.
You will finish with an I-Cord and attach handles, they can be knitted (I-Cord) or you can choose to place leatherette or cotton straps.
