Construction
This sweater is worked seamlessly, starting with the turtleneck.
First work the turtleneck in the round, placing a hole at the base of the cowl for the leash opening. If you’re using a harness, you’ll need to place and mark the location of the harness on the yoke.
You’ll need to take your dog’s exact measurements to choose the most appropriate size and lengthen the armhole if necessary.
Choose the size according to the chest circumference and then according to the neck circumference. If the neck circumference doesn’t correspond to the chest circumference’s measurements, you need to adjust the number of stitches for the turtle neck to obtain the same number of stitches at the beginning of the yoke (this applies in particular to cross-bred dogs, which generally have a stronger neck than pure-bred sighthounds).
