Yarn

You need a sock yarn to knit these socks.

I used Malabrigo Yarn Sock for the first samples and my sample knitter used WYS Signature (75 % wool including 35% BFL, 25% nylon) 400 m / 100 g in three colorways

Gauge

30 sts / 40 rds in stockinette st

Notions

30 cm (12’’) 2.5 mm (US1) circ needle (or 5 DPN’s)
30 cm (12’’) 2.75 mm (US2) circ needle (or 5 DPN’s)
Third needle in the same size for grafting
Tapestry needle
4 Stitch Markers
Scrap yarn for the heel

Sizes

XS:35-37 (4-6), S: 38-40 (6.5-8), M: 41-43 (8.5-10 – Men 7.5-9),  L: 44-46 (10-12), XL: 46-48 (12.5-13.25)

Construction

The socks in this collection are all toe up constructed.
The heel is added later once the leg is finished (afterthought heel).
To best choose your sock, select according to the circumference of the sole of your foot.
The length of the foot and the leg are totally adaptable. The socks are worn with a negative ease of 1.5 to 2.5 cm (1/2 to 1’’).
