Yarn

You need a fingering yarn to knit this shawl.

I used for my sample Arco Iris Yarn Dr Wool (100 % merino) 400 m / 100 g in two colors: Pichu (approx. 634 m) and Le Tombeau des Lucioles approx. 733 m.

Gauge

22 sts / 32 rows in Garter St per 10 cm/4” after blocking

  • 3.75 mm (US 5) 100 cm (40″) circ needles
  • 4 mm (US 6) 100 cm (40″) circ needles
  • 5 mm (US 8) 100 cm (40″) circ needles
  • Tapestry needle
  • Stitch markers if needed

Construction

This shawl starts with a garter tab cast-on, with increases along the edges and in sections to give it a crescent shape.
If you have a tendency to tighten mosaic knitting, I advise you to use a largr needle for sections with this technique.
