If you hate seams or other finishes like that seam on the tip of the toes, you'll love Turkish Cast On.

You can use this method whenever you don't want to sew or whenever you want to cast on sock stitches starting at the toe.

It is also a perfect alternative to the temporary assembly of stitches found on shoulders or for a collar for example.

You will have a result very similar to the Judy's magic cast-on.

How to do Turkish editing?

Step-by-step explanations of Turkish assembly

First of all, hold your needles parallel.

First, tie a knot and place it on the bottom needle.

Then, from back to front, wrap your yarn around both needles (e.g. if you want to get 24 stitches, you will wrap your yarn 12 times around the needles, the knot not counting)

Next, hold the wrapped yarn firmly between your fingers and pull the needle from underneath until the stitches are on the cable.

Proceed to the next step, with the yarn at the back, knit and twist the stitches on the top needle. Make sure to pull them tight enough.

Finally, turn your work. Slip the stitches you haven't yet knitted onto the left needle and knit them twisted. Then, drop the knot and place a marker.

You can start knitting as established in the pattern.
