Brume

Description

Brume is a top-down sweater knitted with a single strand of Concept Silky Mohair. The body, simple and airy, is worked in stockinette stitch to highlight the light texture of the yarn. But the real charm lies in the sleeves: puffed, lacy, and with a romantic flair that truly stands out.
This sweater is a collaboration with the Katia Yarns brand.

Yarn

You need a lace yarn to knit it.

I used Katia Concept Silky Mohair (58% Mohair, 20% Merino, 11% Silk, 11% Viscose) approx. 200 m / 25 g. 795 (923, 1054)(1180, 1288) (1434, 1595, 1733) m or a) 4, b) 5, c) 6, d) 7, e) 7, f) 8, g) 9, h) 9 balls

Gauge

With 4.5 mm needles in stockinette stitch (flat) 19 sts / 26 rs = 10 x 10 cm or 4 x 4”

• 4.5-mm circular knitting needles with a 40, 60 and 80 cm cable
• 3.75-mm circular knitting needles with a 60 and 80 cm cable
• 3.25-mm double-pointed needles (DPNs)

Construction

This is a top-down sweater. Cast on at the back and knit down to the armholes, pick up sts along the shoulders and work the fronts separately to add shape to the neckline. At the end of the neckline, join the fronts and work to the underarm. Then, join the front and back and knit the body in the round. Pick up sts around the armholes to knit the sleeves in the round. To finish, pick up sts around the neckline and knit the cowl.
