Yarn
You will need sock yarn to knit these socks and a colored fingering yarn that you will use in double for the embroidery.
I used WYS Signature (75 % wool including 35% BFL, 25% nylon) 400 m / 100 g and Peregrine for embroidery
WYS Signature (75 % wool including 35% BFL, 25% nylon) 400 m / 100 g Milk Bottle color approximately 200 [220, 240, 275] m
Embroidery: CLK Peregrine (100% Est-A-Laine Merino) 400 m / 100 g approximately 10 m Lichen color
Gauge
30m. / 40 rounds in stockinette stitch in the round
Notions
2.5 mm circular needle, 30 cm long or 5 2.5 mm double-pointed needles
2.75 mm circular needle, 30 cm long or 5 2.75 mm double-pointed needles
A third needle of the same caliber for grafting
Sizes
XS: 34-36, S: 36-38, M: 38-40, L: 41-43
Construction
These socks are toe up constructed.
The heel is added later once the leg is finished (afterthought heel).
To best choose your sock size, select according to the circumference of foot’s sole.
The length of the foot is totally adaptable.
Socks are worn with a negative ease of 1.5 to 2.5 cm.
