Winter in Scotland is a pair of stranded colorworked mittens. It is the perfect project to knit as a holiday gift! They are relatively easy to knit despite the complex pattern.
The pattern also allows you to play with the patterns: make only the sheep heads and tails, make only the wolf heads and tails or mix the two.

Description

The mittens Winter in Scotland are a pair of mittens in jacquard with drawn threads. They are relatively easy to knit despite the complex appearance of the pattern.
The pattern also allows you to play with the patterns: make only the sheep heads and tails, make only the wolf heads and tails or mix the two.

Yarn

You will need three colors of Peregrine to make the pattern (kits are avaible in limited quantity)
CF: Smokey or Napel colors
CC1: Diva or Glacier colors
CC2: Ivory color

Gauge

Size S: with the largest needles, 34 sts / 37 jacquard trs per 10 cm after blocking
Size M: with the largest needles, 32 sts / 36 jacquard trs per 10 cm after blocking

Notions

2.25 mm circ. needle, 80 cm long or 2.25 mm double-pointed needles for size S
2.5 mm circular needle, 80 cm long or 5 2.5 mm double-pointed needles for stranded colorwork size S or size M
2.75 mm circ. needle, 80 cm long or 2.75 mm double-pointed needles for stranded colorwork size M
