Description

Ronsard is a sleeveless summer top, which can be worn bare skin when it's very hot or over a shirt or turtleneck as soon as autumn arrives.

Yarn

You will need DK weight yarn to knit it.

I used the Natissea Linae (95 % linen / 5 % cotton) 190 m / 100 g approximately 505 [563, 640, 695][768, 869, 944][1022, 1142, 1221] m or 3 [3, 4, 4][5, 5, 5][6, 7, 7] skeins in Quartz color

Gauge

22 stitches / 28 rows in stockinette stitch in the round for 10 cm after blocking with 3.25 mm needles

Notions

  • 2.75 mm circ. needle 80 cm long for the neckline
  • 3.25 mm circ. needle, 80 to 100 cm long depending on the size
  • 5 double-pointed needles 2.75 mm for small circumferences (sleeves) if necessary.
  • 1 tapestry needle
  • 10 markers if needed

Construction

This vest is worked from the top with the set in sleeves method, starting with shoulders. Back and front are worked separetely before joining them to work the body and finally finish the sleeves.
This top is worn with a positive ease of 5 to 15 cm.
