Description

Solaris is a huge shawl in brioche and mosaic knitting.
This gigantic shawl will wrap you up on cool summer evenings and accompany you through the winter!

Yarn

You will need fingering yarn to knit it.

I used Arco Iris Yarn Dr Wool (100 % merino) 400 m / 100 g in two colors: Pichu (approx. 634 m) and Grave of the Fireflies color approx. 733 m

Gauge

22 stitches / 32 rows in garter stitch for 10 cm after blocking

Notions

  • 3.75 mm circ. needle 100cm long
  • 4mm circ. needle 100cm long
  • 5mm circle needle 100cm long
  • 1 tapestry needle
  • markers if needed

Final measurements

One size fits all
Top border: 251 cm wide
Depth: 51 cm

Construction

This shawl starts with a garter tab cast-on, with increases along the edges and in sections to give it a crescent shape.
If you have a tendency to tighten mosaic knitting, I advise you to use a largr needle for sections with this technique.
